Private schools quality education provide kar sakte hain, lekin unregulated fee hikes parents ke liye nightmare ban jati hain. Isliye multiple jurisdictions me laws/ guidelines banaye gaye hain jo schools ko fully free-hand nahi dete.
Common controls:
- Fee revision ke liye structured committees or approval bodies,
- Annual/biannual modest hikes limit,
- Development fees, building fund, or miscellaneous charges pe caps ya scrutiny,
- Prior notice period before implementing higher fees,
- Mandatory disclosure of fee structure on website/notice board.
Parents often associations bana kar unjust hikes ke against representation dete hain. Agar dialogue fail ho, to regulatory complaints, PILs, ya class actions jaisi remedies possible hoti hain. Courts schools ke commercial reality ko bhi recognise karte hain – salaries, infrastructure cost – lekin profiteering aur exploitation allow nahi karte.
Honest parents ko bhi ye samajhna hota hai ki “no hike ever” realistic nahi. Focus reasonable, transparent, justified hikes pe hona chahiye. Schools ke liye best practice open books, parent meetings, aur planned increment policy hai – not last-minute shocks.
